The Blankenbush Peterson Home

This is a special home where many years of wonderful memories were made and continue to be made now. I chose very warm tones and the brilliant saturated color of a late afternoon sunset to bring out the “home and hearth” look of The Blankenbush Peterson’s quaint cape cod home. The colors of the sunset, yellow, orange, pink and lavender, are also reflected throughout the painting. Different shades of red used in the Japanese Maple tree, the flowers in the window boxes and the red bricks on the house create a wonderful pop of contrasting color. The glowing amber light in the windows add to the cozy appeal of this home.
