Lydia Quinn is a landscape artist who is inspired by nature and the beauty in the world around her.   Clearly influenced by the many art forms growing up, ballet, opera, dance and film,  there are two different styles that emerge in her work, the classic and the impressionist/expressionist artist.  She is best known for her unique impasto paintings created with her own technique.  These paintings transport you to another world because of their three dimensional design.

Living near the Jersey shore she feels grateful to be surrounded by so much natural beauty  and has been drawn to paint the ocean and the Marshlands in Barnegat Bay as well as the green mountains in Vermont

Lydia graduated from The School of Visual Arts in New York City with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree n 1979.  She was primarily an illustrator and while living in manhattan she did freelance illustration work for various catalog companies and clients.  Later in 2004 she discovered her passion for landscape painting and in this she is mostly self taught.  Her work can be found in various Galleries at the Jersey Shore.
